![]() Why kill monsters to get gear to kill more monsters when the game is done? There's a few post game quests with a little more story which I've done but yea, just stop there. So I can kill a monster with a higher level on it to get loot I don't need? I dunno, it sounds like it's way more trouble than it's worth, and I've already seen pretty much everything the game has to offer. I just finished the story, and while I like the game a bunch despite its glaring issues, is there actually any reason to do any of the post-game stuff aside from "just 'cause"? Like that's most of the sidequests in the game, I get that, just looking at the stuff required to craft an ares 90 is making my eyes glaze over and I'm not sure what the actual point of making one would be. Even when you do find something, it doesn't matter because you're either not high enough level to use, or it's an object that is tied to a mission and can't be normally used in any way. You can't find anything cool despite the fact that debris form a huge spaceship, a bunch of alien technology, and numerous new materials are all over the planet. It completely clashes with the humans in a new environment theme.Ģ) You're never really rewarded properly for exploring. All the anime/j-pop poo poo crammed into this game feels very forced and really out of place. To me Mira feels mostly inspired by Starship Troopers and the Riddick movies with some references to other space themed movies here and there. Sure, the previous games were anime as all hell, but they were far more linear and story driven. ![]() My biggest beefs wereġ) The game is too anime. These upgraded Diskbombs are friggin' hilarious to see in actionĮxploration is probably the most fun thing in this game, but even then I found it a bit lackluster. I would have thought my own kind at least would understand the seriousness of our Adventurer's Guild! What is it with this dancing?! Bouncing around like fools. This game got s lot better after I read the iwata asks about it. Made me kind of glad I had hosed off to do my own thing.įruit is proof that the gods exist and love us. ![]() I heard such treats as "stagger it", "I need to heal", and my personal favorite, "For the love of god, stagger it!". For the next hour or so I was treated to a flow of Blade reports about how the battles were going for this pubbie and his friend with an Ares 70. Then I played it again a couple times, running into the level 50 again once, before deciding to do other things for a while. I spent the next six minutes running back and forth between them rezzing one then the other. The other guy was level ~50 but got his skell shot out from under him quite quickly. It was not a good sign when one of them didn't even have a skell and was only level ~21. Used the scout console to get a couple buddies and they single handedly wreck level 70 tyrants in no time at all.
